Transcultural capital and emergent identities among migrant youth

The everyday practices and socio-cultural identities of migrant youth have become a focal point contemporary sociological research in Western countries immigration. This article engages with the concept transcultural capital to frame possibilities opportunities embodied young migrants’ multi-layered cross-cultural competencies context an increasingly interconnected diverse world. By re-conceptualising diversity difference as agentic, transformational capitals be valued, fostered mobilised, this approach brings fore multitude skills, networks knowledge that access develop through multiple cultural repertoires.
